  11. This program is SHAREWARE. Distribution of the UNREGISTERED 
  12. version of this program is encouraged as long as it is copied 
  13. in whole and remains unaltered.  No fee may be asked for this 
  14. program itself, but a nominal distribution fee may be charged 
  15. for the diskette used to distribute this software as long as 
  16. the purchaser of said diskette is informed that the fee for

  43. This program requires VBRUN300.DLL to install and function.
  44. If you don't have VBRUN300.DLL you will receive the error
  45. message "Can't run setupp.exe -2" when you attempt to use the
  46. setup program for this application.  If you need VBRUN300.DLL,
  47. it is available as a self extracting executable file "VBRUN300.EXE"
  48. on our Home Page.  Down load the file "VBRUN300.EXE", double
  49. click the file and select the Unzip command button. The file
  50. VBRUN300.DLL will be unzipped to your windows\system directory.
  51.  
  52. What is this program?
  53.  
  54.   1. IMAGE MASTER + is a screen saver and image viewer for
  55.      windows that can use your own images, midi or wave files. 
  56.      IMAGE MASTER can play music from a CD-ROM. Music can 
  57.      play as pictures are being displayed.  You can select 
  58.      Password protection if desired.  Messages can be 
  59.      left on the screen.
  60.   
  61.   2. IMAGE MASTER + can be installed as a standard Window's 
  62.      Screen saver from Window's desk top, or can be used from 
  63.      the Program Group that IMAGE MASTER + makes for windows.
  64.      IMAGE MASTER + can be used as both.
  65.   
  66.   3. IMAGE MASTER + can be used as a screen saver and/or an 
  67.      image viewer. If you have installed IMAGE MASTER + as a 
  68.      screen saver, and want to use it from the program manager 
  69.      to leave a message or make your system password protected 
  70.      while you have to be temporarily away, you can do this by 
  71.      double clicking the IMAGE MASTER + Icon.  If IMAGE MASTER +
  72.      is running from the program manager, it will not invoke 
  73.      itself as a screen saver even if the amount of time has 
  74.      passed to call it as a screen saver from the desktop.
  75.  
  76.   4. IMAGE MASTER + is ideal for corporations that need a screen 
  77.      saver that can use their own pictures or corporate logos.
  78.      It is also ideal for users who want a way to display their
  79.      own images (regardless of format) as a screen saver or 
  80.      as a stand alone program.
  81.               
  82.   5. IMAGE MASTER + is now shipped with CSA, the Calendar - 
  83.      Scheduler - Alarm utility from Accidental Software.  
  84.      This utility provides a quick reference calendar and 
  85.      scheduler.  It also allows you to Set an alarm so that
  86.      items will pop up on your screen when the specified 
  87.      date and time are reached.  NOTE: Touch Start must be
  88.      running for the alarm portion of this application to
  89.      function.  See How do I use the program from the Windows
  90.      Program Manager (#4.) below for information on how to 
  91.      active Touch Start each time windows is started.
  92.  
  93. How do I install the program?
  94.   
  95.   1. Install IMAGE MASTER + for Windows from a disk.
  96.       
  97.       a. Start Microsoft Windows.
  98.       
  99.       b. Insert the disk in the proper drive. 
  100.       
  101.       c. From the Window's Program Manager, select FILE MENU 
  102.          and choose RUN.  Windows 95, Click Start, then RUN.
  103.       
  104.       d. Type A:\SETUP and press Enter.  Substitute your 
  105.          drive letter for "A:" if your disk is in a 
  106.      different drive.
  107.  
  108.   2. Install IMAGE MASTER + for Windows from a modem download or 
  109. "ZIP" file.
  110.       
  111.       a. Unzip your Image Master archive.
  112.       
  113.       b. Start Microsoft Windows.
  114.       
  115.       c. From the Window's Program Manager, select FILE MENU 
  116.          and choose RUN.  Windows 95, click Start, then RUN.
  117.       
  118.       d. Select Browse, then find the drive and directory to 
  119.      which Image Master Plus was downloaded and unzipped.  
  120.      Double click on the file "SETUP.EXE" then click on 
  121.      the O.K. command button.
  122.  
  123.       e. Follow the prompts from the setup program.
  124.  
  125. Trouble shooting.
  126.  
  127.    1. In some cases, if you are using a program that is 
  128.       accessing or using a DLL or other file that IMAGE 
  129.       MASTER + uses and installs, you may receive a message 
  130.       during installation that warns you that a file can not 
  131.       be installed since it is already in use by your system.  
  132.       You can choose Ignore to this warning and the program 
  133.       should install correctly.
  134.  
  135. Known program limitations.
  136.  
  137.    1. Image Master Plus requires that approximately 60% of windows
  138.       system recourses are free if you are attempting to use JPG 
  139.       compressed pictures.  If the program behaves erratically 
  140.       or doesn't show your JPG pictures correctly, insure system
  141.       resources are at or above 60%. 
  142.  
  143. How do I make IMAGE MASTER + the active screen saver?
  144.    
  145.    1. Select "yes" to the inquiry during installation that
  146.       asks if you want Image Master + to be installed as the 
  147.       current screen saver.  This will place Image Master +
  148.       as the current screen saver on your system with a 
  149.       5 minute time of inactivity to start the program.
  150.       The 5 minute "time out" will not take effect until  
  151.       windows has been exited and reentered after Image 
  152.       Master + installation.
  153.    
  154.    2. You can select Saver Set Up from the Miscellaneous 
  155.       menu to access the Saver Set Up utility in the program.
  156.       Turn the Image Master + screen saver function on or off
  157.       as well as selecting the amount inactive keyboard or 
  158.       mouse time before the screen saver portion of the program
  159.       starts.
  160.  
  161. Alternative method for making Image Master + the active screen
  162. saver.
  163.  
  164.    1. Once IMAGE MASTER + is successfully installed, it may be 
  165.       selected as the current screen saver from windows.  
  166.       
  167. Windows 3.x
  168.  
  169.       a. From the Windows Program Manager, select MAIN.
  170.       
  171.       b. From MAIN select CONTROL PANEL.
  172.       
  173.       c. From CONTROL PANEL select DESK TOP.
  174.       
  175.       d. From DESK TOP select the arrow key next to SCREEN 
  176.      SAVER.
  177.       
  178.       e. From the menu, select IMAGE MASTER +.
  179.    
  180. Windows 95
  181.  
  182.       a. Right click the desk top away from any program icons.
  183.  
  184.       b. Select Properties from the Dialog that shows.
  185.  
  186.       c. Select the Screen Saver Tab.
  187.  
  188.       d. Select Image Master from the list of Screen Savers.  NOTE:
  189.          some systems may show SSIMAGEP rather than Image Master in
  190.          the list of screen savers.
  191.  
  192.       e. Settings tab.  The settings tab can be used to change the
  193.          color depth of your display.  If your system has 16 bit color
  194.          or better available, your picture quality will improve if a
  195.          setting higher than 256 colors can be selected.  16 bit color
  196.          or better is recommended if you intend to use the picture
  197.          collage option.
  198.  
  199.    2. The above steps will select IMAGE MASTER + as the
  200.       current screen saver.  Use the SET UP button to select 
  201.       the features of the program you want.  It is possible to 
  202.       select and preview pictures, MIDI files, and CD-ROM 
  203.       audio.
  204.  
  205.    3. Push the TEST button to run the screen saver program 
  206.       as a test.
  207.    
  208.    4. Select the desired inactive time for the screen saver 
  209.       program to implement itself.
  210.  
  211. How do I use the program from the Windows Program Manager?
  212.  
  213.    1. If the Image Master + program group is not open, double 
  214.       click on the IMAGE MASTER + program group.
  215.  
  216.    2. To run Image Master +, double click on its Icon.
  217.  
  218.    3. The program will start in the Set Up Mode.  Select the 
  219.       options you want, then push the Screen Saver button to 
  220.       start the program.
  221.  
  222.    4. Touch Start:  Double click the Touch Start Icon to 
  223.       activate the touch start hot corners.  A green line
  224.       appears at the bottom left of your screen to indicate
  225.       where to place your mouse to start Image Master +. 
  226.       Touch Start activation can be terminated by moving the
  227.       mouse pointer to the bottom right (red line) of the 
  228.       screen.  If the Touch Start check box is activated,
  229.       Touch Start will reactivate itself after the screen 
  230.       saver portion of Image Master + has terminated.
  231.  
  232. What are the program features?
  233.   
  234.   1. Registered users can add up to 1000 Bit Map files 
  235.      (1000 images) in each Slide Show provided.
  236.      These images can be located in any directory on your 
  237.      hard drive or floppy drives.  You can even use your CD-ROM
  238.      as a source of pictures.  If you have Kodak's Access 
  239.      software, you can use Image master to show you photo CDs.   
  240.   
  241.   2. Registered users can add up to 100 Midi or Wave Audio
  242.      selections for each Slide Show to be played as 
  243.      the program displays your pictures. 
  244.   
  245.   3. Set the length of time for the picture to remain on the 
  246.      display before the next one replaces it.
  247.   
  248.   4. Any image can be used as long as it a PCX or BMP file,
  249.      (UNREGISTERED VERSION).  The REGISTERED VERSION of 
  250.      Image Master + will access the following additional file 
  251.      formats.  .GIF, .DIB, .TGA, .EPS, .TIF, .JPG, CMP, .CAL, 
  252.      .IMG, .MAC, .MSP, .PCD, PCT, RAS, WPG.  NOTE: Photo CD 
  253.      images (.PCD) require Kodak's Access Software.
  254.   
  255.   5. You need not copy any picture or midi file to any other 
  256.      directory to use it.  IMAGE MASTER + can find and use 
  257.      your files from any valid hard drive, floppy or CD-ROM
  258.      drive and directory on your computer. 
  259.   
  260.   6. You can add or delete picture and midi files and set 
  261.      the picture delay through the standard setup button 
  262.      provided by windows for screen savers or by starting 
  263.      IMAGE MASTER + from the program manager by double clicking 
  264.      on its Icon.
  265.   
  266.   7. You can use scanned images as long as the image is 
  267.      saved in a format that is compatible with IMAGE MASTER 
  268.      (see 4. above for details.) 
  269.   
  270.   8. You can display your pictures with their original
  271.      size or you can select a size based on a percentage
  272.      of your screen size. If the [ ] Maintain Original Picture
  273.      size check box is not selected, the picture display size 
  274.      can be varied from 100% of the screen to 50% of the screen 
  275.      size.  Pictures will retain the correct aspect ratio 
  276.      regardless of Screen mode or screen size selected.  You 
  277.      can elect to have your picture displayed with a frame 
  278.      around it or without frame.
  279.  
  280.   9. You can randomize the order in which your images are 
  281.      displayed. Click on the Randomize Picture Order check
  282.      box to choose this option.
  283.  
  284.  10. The speed that Image Master uses to put your images
  285.      to the screen can be adjusted.  Select Picture Attributes, 
  286.      then slide the selector bar to the slower or faster end of 
  287.      the adjuster bar to vary this speed.
  288.   
  289.  11. Any mouse button press and most keyboard keys will 
  290.      terminate Image Master and return you to the 
  291.      application you were using before Image Master 
  292.      started.  The following keys have special meaning.
  293.  
  294.     1.  If MIDI is selected, pushing the "M" key
  295.     on the keyboard will toggle the MIDI selections
  296.     playing to mute and back on again.
  297.  
  298.     2. If you have CD-Audio selected, pushing  the 
  299.     "space" bar will bring up an audio selector 
  300.     panel.  You can select Previous, Next, Play, 
  301.     Pause, and Stop with this selector bar.
  302.  
  303.     3. The "P" key will pause Image Master on the present 
  304.     image.  Pushing "P" again will toggle pause off.
  305.  
  306.  12.  You can use a Password to protect access to your 
  307.       computer when Image Master is running.
  308.  
  309.  13.  You can leave a message for any visitors you may 
  310.       have while you are away from your computer, or 
  311.       messages you may want to display to the public.
  312.  
  313.  14.  You can use Photo CD as a source for your pictures 
  314.       (REGISTERED VERSION ONLY).  You can also choose 
  315.       one of several options available for displaying 
  316.       your pictures such as gray scale and flipping your 
  317.       image.
  318.  
  319.  15.  CD-ROM audio is available in both the registered 
  320.       and unregistered versions.  If your CD-ROM is capable 
  321.       of playing CD-AUDIO, you can select it as the source 
  322.       of music for Image Master.
  323.  
  324.  16.  Touch Start is available.  The touch start Icon will
  325.       will set a "HOT" corner that will allow Image Master +
  326.       to be started by moving your mouse to the GREEN HOT 
  327.       CORNER of your screen.  Touch Start can be terminated
  328.       by moving your mouse to the RED CORNER of your screen.
  329.       You can place the touch start icon in your windows 
  330.       start up program group to have it run automatically
  331.       each time windows is started.  Activate the Touch
  332.       Start check box (in Utilities of Picture Attributes)
  333.       to have Touch Start reinstate itself after Image Master +
  334.       has run.  Touch the lavender line at the top center 
  335.       of the screen to activate the CSA utility shipped 
  336.       with this program.

  338.  17.  See a full screen view of the picture during setup
  339.       by clicking on the small view of the picture.
  340.  
  341.  18.  Use the Picture Collage option to place 4 pictures on
  342.       your screen at one time.  A 16 bit color screen or higher
  343.       screen mode is recommended for this option.

  345. How do I register?
  346.  
  347.   1. How much? $19.95

  349.   2. Your program is converted to the Registered version after
  350.      the proper registration code is received from Accidental 
  351.      Software and entered into the program.  You will need to 
  352.      supply Accidental Software the REGISTRATION ID number for  
  353.      your program. NO PROGRAM DISK WILL BE SENT.

  355.   3. Obtain your REGISTRATION ID number from the Information
  356.      sub menu of REGISTRATION.  The REGISTRATION ID number is
  357.      also on your registration form if you decide to print one.

  360.      MasterCard and we will provide you with the Registration 
  361.      Key number you need to convert your program to the registered 
  362.      version.  You can also FAX us at 1-760-247-6819 with your 
  363.      Visa or MasterCard Information.  We will FAX your 
  364.      REGISTRATION ID number back after verification.

  366.   5. Alternately, print out a registration form and send it 
  367.      along with a check or money order to Accidental Software.

  394.   2. When registered, this program keeps your registration information
  395.      on the hard disk.  Unfortunately, if your windows directory is
  396.      erased or your hard disk is wiped out or reformatted, Image Master
  397.      Plus will need a new Registration Key number.  Our 800 number
  398.      is open to callers who need a new registration number for any
  399.      reason.  Alternately, you can FAX or Email us the Registration
  400.      ID number for which you need a new key.

  402.   3. Each original installation of Image Master Plus on a different
  403.      computer will generate a new Registration ID number that needs
  404.      a unique Registration Key to unlock it.  We will provide Key

  429.     
  430.     Use this Icon to remove Image Master Plus from 
  431.     your hard drive.  This Icon will remove all files that were
  432.     installed to your hard drive by this program, with the 
  433.     following exceptions.

  440.     These files may be required for other windows programs and
  441.     are not removed by uninstall for this reason.  These files
